Little Miss Lauren

I got to spend time with this little lady and her amazing parents when she was only a few days new. She was the tiniest little peanut!!! I think we spent most of the session oooing and ahhing over her. This babe is so lucky to be born into such a cool family. Her parents are both globe trotters (not the basketball players…) and seem to be up for anything. Dad is from the UK, mom is from the US, met in Jordan, married in Honduras. No joke. In fact Lauren’s passport has already been stamped! A little jealous I must admit. Kind of funny thinking about what a newborns passport photo looks like? Well, I had a great time swapping travel stories with this family and learning all about their biggest adventure yet… Miss Lauren. Enjoy this pretty little lady.

Waiting on baby Liam

I find it perfect timing to post these photos today since tomorrow morning I get to photograph the little bun in the oven in these photos, baby Liam! These two are so much fun and I have been lucky enough to be a part of their big day and now get to document this new chapter in their lives (at their first house too!) Definitely one of those fairy tale stories. Like seriously. They are both from a small town called Hollister (no not the store)… and went to high school together… but it wasn’t until almost 10 years later did they end up meeting again … in a different city….and falling head over heels in love. I mean really!!! Both die hard Giants and Sharks fans, both have the same small town roots… and are two peas in a pod. I am so happy for them and the life they have started together and thrilled to see them as new parents!  Can’t wait to post some photos of their baby boy tomorrow on Facebook:)

Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

I met this beautiful girl when she was a fresh faced freshman in the college group at church. I can’t believe she has now graduated from COLLEGE!!! How did 4 years fly by so fast??? Geez I’m getting old! In 4 years this beauty not only got her degree, but lived in Paris for a bit, worked on the PGA tour, volunteered at a summer camp and made tons of friends along the way. Amy is one of those girls that is as sweet as sugar and someone you can’t help but crack up with. She has a huge heart for the Lord and it definitely shines through in who she is. Oh Amy, I can’t wait to see all that awaits you. Or better put from the famous Dr. Seuss:

“Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!” – Oh, the Places You’ll Go

The S Family

This family is awesome and I knew it from the first time I met them at their home. Very quickly I was invited to take a hand held tour of the six year old, Ava’s room… asked to play with some legos with the only boy… and got quickly acquainted with their beautiful mama and youngest sister. So when the day of our session arrived, I knew we were going to have fun!  We got to visit the beautiful Radonich ranch and Burrell School winery in the Santa Cruz mountains.  The sun was on our side, the kids were ready to play and the locations were perfect. It was a set up for a great session! Thank you guys for making me laugh so much and letting me play on the job!!

Stephanie - Love…Love…Love all of these photos! Looks like a great session and the location was perfect. Kate you are one talented lady! What a cute family!

The Hearns

Beautiful location, perfect weather and an amazing family all made for an incredible session! I had such a great time with this family of five. I got to be an observer, a playmate and a photographer. One of my favorite parts of my job is being able to be in the midst of a family… just being them. being able to to enjoy their relationships and dynamics.

Kris and Kama got married at Santa Clara University. So that was definitely a great starting point. Then we headed over to a park close to their house for some play time and more photos. Once we busted out the glitter and bubbles the kids were all smiles. These are some of the most low key parents and sweetest kids I have every come across… seriously. I hope to be like this when I have  a little family of my own!!! Oh, and notice the 49ers jersey on Keating the little boy. It is his favorite shirt, so it was fitting to have him in it for the photos! He kept me laughing:)Enjoy this beautiful bunch!
